Top Five Spring 2011 Fashion Must Haves
08 April, 2011The fashion industry has established Honeysuckle as the number one color in fashion for this season, but there are plenty of other colors that are hot for spring 2011. According to Pantone’s Fashion Color Report in New York Fashion Week, the idea behind spring fashion colors is the chance for consumers to escape from everyday life and explore exotic places. The inspirations come from places like Africa, Turkey, and Peru, and include both warm and cool tones for nice combinations. Honeysuckle, a bright pink-red hue, is the top color choice overall. However, other warm colors like Coral Rose and Beeswax will be popular too. The more tropical feelings eluded from Blue Curacao (a shade similar to last year’s top color Turquoise) and Peapod are the suggested hues to pair with the lighter colors. Peapod is more of a spring green, fitting for the season. Lavender is another color that would go nicely with any of these shades. The trend also includes neutral colors that have transitioned over from fall, like the deep brown tone of Russet and neutral tones like Silver Peony and Silver Cloud. All of these colors can be mixed and matched with each other for beautiful contrast.
